My First Meme!

I read this on a foster friend's blog.
It looked like fun.
I decided to copy it.

I know what a meme is, but what does meme mean?

a cultural unit (an idea or value or pattern of behavior) that is passed from one person to another by non-genetic means (as by imitation); "memes are the cultural counterpart of genes"

Now we both know.

Huh?

C. was enjoying a new coloring book at our house, and wishing for one of her own. She said, "We need a BAD new coloring book." She looked surprised when she realized what she'd said, and she giggled and said, "No, we need a NEW coloring book, BAD!"

Abigail Grace Anderson

On Friday, November 2, Abigail Grace Anderson made her entrance into the world. She weighed in at 9 lbs, and 19" long. All went well for Julie, and for Abby. This afternoon we were blessed to meet her. She'd had a very wide-awake night, and she was making up for it this afternoon. She was asleep when we arrived, and stayed asleep for a couple of hours (including an hour in MY arms - made this grandma happy!). She woke and nursed, and she opened her eyes for a few minutes before we left.

Pictures available on Ben and Julie's blog.

Our Busy Day at Peach Tree Farm

Mrs. Experiencedteacher's class went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch. We were very busy!
We walked to see

the animals.
We fed the goats!
(Nibble, nibble!)

P T Farm 2

We saw guinea fowl,
and piglets,

and goats with horns.

P T Farm 3

We made it through the straw maze.

P T Farm 4

Mr. Bruce took us on a hayride!

We saw a horse made from cornstalks and LOTS of pumpkins,

and had fun with our friends.

P T Farm 5

We picked pumpkins to take home,

and wrote our names on them.

P T Farm 6

Pumpkins can be tiny,

or BIG,

and sometimes WHITE, too!

Our class played a new game: Scarecrow . . . Scarecrow . . . PUMPKIN,

and listened to a story.

P T Farm 7

We saw sunflowers that were VERY TALL (but Mrs. H. is taller),

and we climbed into the wagon.

Last, we had a picnic lunch. Yum!

We had fun during our busy day at Peach Tree Farm!
